My dog has been sick lately with kind of flu like symptons. Now my husband this morning woke up with the same symptons as the dog..Irony or could the dog have got him sick?

Wow, I don't have the answer but I've been wondering that myself. My dog is also really sick and so are we. So, I was wondering if we were all just passing it back and forth. However I am having problems with mold in my house too, so that's probably what's going on in my case....I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has the answer....Good luck.

I mean I don't think you can get the exact cold a dog has but I am thinking maybe certain germs or virus' can pass from dog to human or human to dog.. I really hope someone can give a good answer as to why or why not.

I don't really know if germs like that can transfer from dog to human or the other way around. I know, however, that last year when my husband had the flu and was coughing and laying around in bed for days, our little dog was so concerned that she spend every day on the be with him. When she finally got up and around after about three days, she also had a cough. Weird huh? I asked my vet if she could have caught it from my husband and she said it wasn't impossible. I also think that we spread germs when the sick person pets the dog, or sneezes on her or something, then the next person pets her and maybe pick something up that way. Don't know for sure though.
