I watched many auditions of American Idol on TV. Some are entertaining while some are just so painful to watch. If you were given the chance, will you go to audition for American Idol?

Ahaha! Almost everybody who watches American Idol hates Simon. He is sooo sarcastic. He finds joy in humiliating people. The fact that he doesn't know how to sing himself is just.. Ugh.

I can never figure out what brings people who can't sing to even try out. I sing better than a lot of them do, and I wouldn't dream of getting up there and being cut down in front of everyone. Unless someone has a huge, fantastic voice, they should just stay at home. I didn't like the way they treated the two retarded boys, because they honestly didn't understand their own limitations, but someone earlier on should have weeded them out.

Maybe they just wanted to be shown on TV? I agree that there are lots of people who go American Idol auditions that doesn't even have the slightest talent for singing. There's this one girl who admits that she cannot sing but firmly believes that she''l be the nexr American Idol! RIDICULOUS. =/

i think most of them are really just big fans of the show so they want to be part of it. what bothers me though is some who im sure everyone knows cant sing to save their lives, yet when the judges say no to them they get all shocked and weepy about like.. duh! why is he even surprised!?

No I would not audition for American Idol as I'm ust not talented enough. However if I was and I wanted to pursue a career in singing I would definitely try out. It never hurts to try.

Yeah I believe so. Only, some people who audition in American Idol lose their cool once they are already there in front of those panels, especialy when Simon starts acting up. =/

Absolutely no! I am a terrible singer and am very shy. I would only do it for a sum of money. Some people defiantly do audition to be on TV but that is not me.

As for me, I'd rather have little money with my dignity than have lots of it but get embarassed in front of the whole wide world. =) No amount of money can regain dignity. American Idol auditions destryos people's dignity. LOL. Just kidding. =)

If i have the talent, why not..but the kind of talent im talking about is that when u sing, everyone just stops talking and just listened to u in awe..that when u sing they tell u,you sound like an angel..If i had that kind of talent,i would definitely go for an audition as tiring as american idol

Yeah. That makes perfect sense. There are some singing voices that is good on some ears, some not. A voice that sounds like an angel.. Kinda reminded me of Sarah McLachlan (or Charlotte Church maybe?) =D

I wouldn't for the simple fact I can't sing and don't wanna look like a idiot on tv. Some people get there quick 15 minutes of fame but i'm sure it hurts worse once there quick fame is over.

Unfortunately, there are some people not as smart as we are. One may know right from the start and from himself if he is cut for American Idol. Whew some of those people on that audition can't even strike a note! =/

I don't think I would put myself out there to be judged. I would be to shy or backward to do it. I would be afriad of being criticised. I do like watching the show though.

Me neither. I'd just rather be one of the people being amused by those auditions than the one being on that same spot where people get 'insulted' until their motivation is beaten into a pulp.. =/
