Does anyone have advice re: Autistic Children ?

I have a friend who has an autistic child and a new baby. The eldest child is acting up out of jealousy (which is normal) but because he is autistic it makes it so much harder to try to help him understand the situation of the new baby. Has anyone been through this before or have any advice ?
