How safe is greece

Just wondering how safe it is in greece for tourists specially around nighttime and stuff like. Is it generally overall a relaxing no tension filled vacation to go on or is it like egypt where You have to go with a reliable tour or else u might not be coming back if u go alone.

I'm Greek and I think my country is safe and I generally think that most of the European countries are safe for a visitor... Well there are of course things you don't do in the big Greek cities (like wondering alone in the bad neighborhoods 4-5 in the morning :P)

Greece is VERY safe. It has one of the lowest crime rates in Europe and is nothing like Egypt, safety-wise.
