My dog is deaf... should I put him to sleep?

No you shouldn't if he is otherwise in good health. We have an dog, Jessie, who is deaf, has arthritis and is 18 years old but we would not consider that because at this time she is not really suffering. It just means that we have to take a bit more care and see that she is not in the way when we drive out etc. Love your dog for as long as it is healthy, mobile and not suffering. :)

I totally agree with ossie16d. A dog is a part of your family and the way I see it - I wouldnt put my daughter to sleep just because shes deaf so I wouldnt do it to my dog either. It is heartbreaking but if your dog is otherwise well and not in uncontrollable pain I would let it be. You will just need to make some adjustments is all.
