Unfortunately, my country doesn't have White Castle. and I had missed my chance to have try when I was in US 5 years ago. But I am very fond of having western food, even though the local people doesn't like it at all, so I think I am going to like it LoL.

I see. What a surprise to me because I had been staying in US for 1 year (2002-2003) and really didn't aware of White Castle. It could be because I seldom go shopping. Even if I go shopping, I will just rush and complete my shopping list. LoL. Thanks for letting me know about the movie, I will start looking for it now.

Ok, I will try my best to let you know LoL. Because it's going to take some time before I go hunting for the movie in local store. It's not easy though especially when we are looking for old movie. And I might forget to update you again after watching it, because I am so forgetfull sometimes LoL.

If you ever come back to the US you must try them. They hav a unique taste. They even made a movie about them, see if you can rent it - it's very funny, called "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle" you must watch the entire movie and see the end and you will see what these burgers are all about.

Haven't had WC since I was in NYC. There was a small knock off place in Brooklyn, I think it was called The White Knight or something that would remind you of White Castle. You simply can't beat a slider special when you have the munchies.

Yea but how many are really left by the time you get home. Smelling them in the car must make you start eating them - huh? LOL. Thanks for your response.

Yes my brother is like you, he doesn't like the frozen ones either. I guess when they make them fresh that is the best way to get them. Thanks.

I think the frozen kind don't have enough of the onions that really enhance the flavor. They are a bit close if you nuk them just right, but a bit dry. Gives the rememberance tho!

There is one about a half hour away. They just put it in a couple years ago. Before that you had to drive all the way to Indianapolis. I traveled alot back then though, so I'd just pick up tons on the way through and freeze them. They never did last very long though~!

Me too! Do they have any restaurants near you? My brother moved from NYC to FL and there aren't any down there. He buys the frozen White Castle burgers but he prefers them cooked fresh right off the grill. Well in his case frozen ones are better then none at all. hahaha

Aren't they so good? My mother craved them when she was pregnant with me 51 years ago. Gee, wonder if that's why I love them. Hahaha

Most definately LOVE THEM. But out here in CA, they don't exist! i have tried the frozen ones from the grocery, they are okay and if I put my mind in memory mode, i can make them seem the same. They sure are good - I am originally from Ohio. I remember them at 13 cents each! And White castle also had te best chocolate milk shakes! I could go eat for a buck and be filled the rest of the day! Oh, for the good old days!

Oh yea, a few burgers and a shake - ahhhhhhhh! My brother moved from NY to FL and they don't have them there either. He does buy the frozen ones but he tells me it just is not the same. He like to watch as they are cooking them then eat them fresh and hot from the grill.

Yes, some people like you need a craving for them. I love them alot. It's funny my mother tells me when she was pregnant with me this was her pregnancy craving and she ate many of them, wow - that was 50 years ago. Maybe that's why I like them too. Hahaha Thanks for your response.

Good Lord! I haven't had a White Castle since the 1980's when I was living in Indianapolis. I do believe they tried to open a chain called West Castle in California. They're no longer around.
But I do love White Castle sliders!!! YUMMY!! The only burgers I like better than those sliders are the Six Dollar Burgers at Carl's Jr.
Boy, you made me miss White Castle....we don't have them here.

Many States that do not have the actual restaurants sells them frozen in the supermarkets. Where are you located now?

I'm in Baja, Mexico....so fat chance running into a slider around here. But I'll go searching in the local Costco or WalMart. If not, I'm sure I can find it in the frozen food section in San Diego.
Thanks for reminding me about one of America's best culinary creations!

Oh I love them. You know I am 50 years old and when my mom was pregnant with me her carvings were White Castle and she ate them all the time. Gee I wonder why I love them too. Hahaha We laugh about it every time we go there. They opened their first White Castle in 1921, that's 87 years ago - wow!

Here in Texas I do not know of any hamburger place called White Castle; in fact, I hard never heard of it until I read your discussion. I prefer Dairy Queen, Burger King, or Whataburger.

Oh no, you have to try them at least once. Their first restaurant opened in 1921 so they have been around a very long time. It has it's own unique taste, nothing tastes like a White Castle but a White Castle. Now you going to make me go and get some. Thanks for replying.
