Stomach Bug

Holy crap, nothing can cripple ya quicker than the stomach bug. Hubby came down with it last night and crashed on the couch before dinner. The bug hit me sometime after I went to bed. Gut wrenching pain kept me awake for most of the night. Hubby is a bit better today. But, I was down for the count this morning. I woke at 7 to get our grandson ready for school. Hubby finished the task. I woke at 10:30, drank a half cup of tea and went back to bed at 11:00. I just woke at 1:45, and my head isn't spinning, but the pain in my abdomen comes and goes. A little reminder that I am not out of the woods yet. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be better.

We've all been battling it here too. And with me, it's taken nearly a week to completely kick out. All 3 kids took anywhere from 24 hours to 3 days. I'm just more stubborn! lol Take care and get your rest. I had horrible headaches with mine too.. and so did my kids.

Today I woke with a pounding headache. I stammered out of bed and downed a couple of ibuprofen. Two hours later I woke feeling somewhat better. The headache is gone, although I still feel a little fuzzy. It could have been from lack of fluids. Today I will be drinking more fluids.

Ugh I hate when I get the flu . It seems because there are so many of us that generally when the flu goes around here it is a never ending story . We have been lucky this year though as it hasn't hit us that often or that bad . Hope it stays that way for awhile . Hope you feel better soon :)

what do you mean by stomach bug?is it an insect or a name of sickness that you got but you said your hubby just crashd one at the couch before dinner so it means its insect, maybe you need a thorough cleaning from the insect fighter. you need to make sure that it will go or die for once because maybe it has virus that can hurt you and your family so bad.

Mak, thanks for letting Annette know what I meant. I never thought to explain that "bug" was a slang term.

Hi! I hope you feel better soon, sweetie! I had the flu last week - for about 4 days. It took me forever to feel better, and I'm still trying to get back into my routine without wanting to sleep through half of it! LOL Just sleep it off and you'll be better soon! :-)

I hope it passes soon and you feel better fast! I can feel for you on the pain and such. Not from a stomach bug though. I had a gaulbladder infection back in October of 2005. I had no insurance so I tried to see if my pain would go away before I went in. Obviously it didn't. It was so painful that I could only sleep 15 minutes at a time, and I kept puking up water that I drank. Luckily my daughter was still in a crib, so she played in there while I tried to nap, and I would feed her and change her in between to keep her happy. I had no one to help me out. When mom got home, I got a babysitter and she took me to the hospital. Then I got kept there for 2 nights. I guess the moral is, be thankful it's not a gaulbladder infection? I don't know. I just hope that you feel better soon, because I know how badly sick pain can suck and keep people from sleeping.
