Do you collect anything?

I am a self admitted pack rat. I collects all sorts of different things. I'll give you a partial list, angels, fairies, skeletons/skulls, religious icons, masks, African/South American art, books, rocks, dolls, teddy bears, you name it and I probably have some wee collection ... :) What do you collect?

When i was a child i used to collect old stamps, nowadays i dont collect anything important, only bills, have a nice day on mylot and happy earnings also.

I collect Cabbage Patch Kids. I have them in all different shapes and sizes, and all different kinds of CPK merchandise.

I have collected spoons but haven't done so in a long time. My mother many years ago started collecting china eggs for me but again I haven't added to it in many years. Now I don't know if this is considered as collecting or not. But every year since my daughter was born I buy her a dated Christmas ornament. I figure by the time she is grown up and moved out she'll have a good start to decorating her own Christmas tree.

I am not really a collector, but I like to have some particualr things. I like books, some special kind of showpieces, old magazines, recepies etc.

I collect books and DVDs. Since I am someone who likes to cuddle up with a book on holidays or to sit in front of my TV to watch a classic movie, these remain my working tools as well, not just collected items. There will always be some 25% of books that I haven't read or movies I haven't watched. So, this provides interesting material for me on holidays. I am very meticulous about keeping them clean and make sure that I do something to make them durable, like covering my books in thick plastic sheets and keeping DVDs neat in my cupboard.

I collect CDs and DVDs. I also collect novels. I love reading novels and watching DVDs. I also have some notes and coins but they were given by my relatives, and I didn't search them myself, so that is not considered as a hobby. Lol. My favorite novel is Sidney Sheldon's and Stephen Kings'. My favorite CD is The Nutty Professor.

I collect clocks and have them all over my house. Who knows why, LOL, but I do like them. I have all shapes and sizes but I like the small ones the best.

I collect quite a variety of different things quite honestly. But three of the things that I find myself collecting the most would have to be as follows. I collect old 80's stuffed animals that I used to have as a kid. Such as popples or care bears, or even things such as old smurf stuffed animals, or even cabbage patch kids. Anything along those lines.. I grew up with having some of these toys & because I had to leave them behind when I moved from Saskatchewan to where I am now.. I felt like a big part of my childhood was taken away from me due to me having to leave a lot of these things behind. So now that I am much older.. I feel by me trying to collect these things that I had to let go of when I was so young.. I feel like each & every time I am able to get my hands on one of the dolls that I used to have from back then.. That I am revisiting my childhood. Also there are some things that I would love to have now that I was unable to have back then. As I had always wanted an easy bake oven but never ended up getting one. Now that I am older I now know I am able to get this if I want it.. So I want to be able to take advantage of that. Other things I collect are old movies from the 80's that I as well grew up watching. A large majority of my movie collection are mostly movies based on the 80's.. But there are still a few old 80's movies that I would love to own someday.. As I was never able to do so before.. So I would love to take advantage of knowing that I could have all of the movies I had ever wanted maybe someday down the road. As you can see I was a big 80's fan, & still am to this very day.. I have a great appreciation for that era & a large majority of the time I wish I could relive my childhood.. But since I am unable to this is why I purchase things that I used to watch or play with as a kid.. Because it helps me to revisit my childhood & the things I had missed out on as a kid as well. Another thing that I tend to collect is gothic dolls. I've been collecting them for the last year now off of e-bay. I don't have all to many at the moment but I am hoping someday to have a large collection of these dolls.. I've always wanted to have them all sitting on mine & my other half's bed.. I think it would look really neat.. And something different that not a lot of people would have in there own rooms. I've always liked being a little bit different compared to others. And I feel I would be proud of my collection once I have all the dolls I have wanted to collect. As I know if people had questions about the dolls that I own that I would be more than willing to answer these questions.. As I know I am a big fan of collecting these type of dolls.. And hope to have more than I do have now a few years down the road! Other things that I collect are things such as.. Cards people have given me over the years. I keep every card that is given to me.. I love being able to look at these cards & see that someone had cared about me enough to give me such heartfelt cards over the years. I also collect photo's.. They are my memories & I love looking back at old pictures of myself & my other half.. Or other people I once used to know.. I love seeing how much I may have grown over the last few years. I also collect unique looking purses.. I have two shoe purses.. They are actually shaped like a purse.. They are very neat & every time I carry them with me at a mall or store.. Someone always has to comment on how neat they think my purse is as they have never seen something quite like mine before.. There are a variety of other things that I collect but it would take me quite a long time to list them all. In conclusion.. As you can see I collect quite a few things.. All of the things I collect mean something to me.. And express who I am as a person as well.. I am more than happy that I am able to express myself to others just by/from collecting the things that I do! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I collect cookbooks, but it is starting to get out of hand so some of them are going to have to go! I also used to collect Waterford crystal, but it was too expensive and I was always worried that they would break, and sometimes they did! So I ended up selling them all on Eblahh.

Hi Rosie, yes, I do have a collection - of elephants. Wherever I go in the world I always bring back an elephant as a memento. Some are wooden, some metal, stone, ceramic, all different but each one reminds me of where I've been or where my family and friends have visited.

I used to collect stamps and old foreign currencies (notes and coins) but not now.

i collect miniature cars. i have about 40 of them standing all around my room on shelves and on my closets. I started saving them about 10 years ago and i usually bought them in Italy, where i go on vacation, but now recently i haven't bought any anymore, don't know why though because the cars these days are so cool, i think the reason is that i'm out of room...=|

I collect photography and art books. It's a pretty expensive things to do! I also collect DVDs but i'm sure most people do that!

I collect bags, silver and stainless steel earrings, colognes, fossil watches. I wanna collect postcards, magnets of places I have visited. Stamps when I'm in the US. Boyfriends hahaha...

Yes I collect things. Accessories in particular. I also love shoes and I love collecting them. I have a bigger cabinet for my shoes than for my clothes I just love shoes.

I collect dolls all kind of them ..but not baby dolls they freak me out

Yes I do collect stamps,coins and matchbox pictures..I had a collection of scientific paper cuts from the journals and news papers when I was in my school.Now not much time for all those things..But it was too useful at that time...
