Can a man and a woman be just friends?

I need your opinion about this.Do you think that two people,a man and a woman,can bebest friends.I mean only friends?Just friends?

They can , it is everywhere. But if you really think about it this causes problems in most marriages, decent marriages. (most, not all, please no offense). I have heard that best friends rom opposite genders end up getting married, but their relationship fail.
