It's a great concept but after your first month or so, there is a huge lag time between ordering movies and getting them. I tried out the service and it wasn't for me. I'd rather be able to walk into a store and rent one or better yet hit my local used DVD store and buy it for the same price as renting it.

Are you talking about Netflix or Blockbuster? Unless you want mostly the newest movies, Netflix service is usually very fast. I return a movie one day, get notified the next that it's received, and often get my next movie the day after that. My Netflix rentals cost me about $2.00 each, but going into a Blockbuster, I would pay about 4.50, if I could even find anything I wanted to see. I buy a lot of used DVDs, mostly from half.com, but Netflix rentals are still cheaper.

I think netflix is good for people who like to avoid the video stores, know what they want, or can't really get out of the house much. Especially for the latter netflix is great. The price for the product is resonable, and they rarely mess up on their orders.

yeah, its not just reasonable but its cheaper than renting videos at a store. and they have not messed up for me yet.

We are on the 4 at a time plan. With good planning we can have movies coming in and out of here almost all the time. We like to watch them and decide if they belong in our collection. We live rural so the delivery to our mail box makes it the most convenient for us. For the four of us we save money also.

I used to be subscribed to netflix. I miss that service. My family and I had a huge list to rent from. we canceled cause of our finances wouldn't permit at the time. We're going to resign up when we can afford it again. We liked getting a total of 5 movies out at a time. Yes Netflix is awesome service, I love the fact they have a huge supply of movies and they try to stay up with the new realeases each month. When I was using their services, I stopped using video stores locally in my area. Problem with renting thru mail here in Alaska is they take up to 1 week to get videos. I can't wait to move to the states. I hear some of the states get their movies from netflix in 1 to 2 business days. that would be so great.

I was a member of netflix when I lived in Texas and I loved it. However I moved to Arkansas and the service there stunk. It took at least a week each time to get a new movie and tons of them didn't even work because they were damaged. I ended up cancelling because of this and I was a little put off about it. I wish the service was the same everywhere.
