Should children be allowed to have cell phones?

I think that they should but not too young, for emergencies and for there own indipendence... as long as the parents have control over the use of it.
What do you think?

I dont think it would be any harm to let children have cell phone. Where i live almost every child have a cell phone nothing is wrong with it. Whats wrong with talking to your friends and being responsible for your phone credit?
