What do you think about Homeowners Associations and CDD's?

I was wondering what people thought of them. I have had nothing but problems with mine. I've been here a year and it seems as if the residents here have no say whatsoever as to how things are run. The developer always gets it their way. Care to share your thoughts?

There are ways to make it happen if you want things done. You just as a community have to stand together and go be involved... It takes time and patience... BTW What are CDD??
