Is my lot full of indian people?

Wow, that's interesting. There are more Indians here than Americans. The internet is international, but I wonder why such a high proportion of Indians are attracted to this particular site. Any clues, anybody? Why are particular nationalities attracted to certain site? I've read that Live Journal has a large Russian membership, but I doubt that it's as large as this one. Another, I think it's Orkut, is heavily Brazilian. A lot of Americans seem to have a problem taking in the fact that the internet doesn't belong to us. :-)

Well there are 1 billion Indians to 300 million Americans, so you should expect to see 3 Indians for every 1 American. Referrals also play a part. The word on MyLot is spread almost entirely by referral, and clearly Indian members have been more active here. By contrast Britain (where I'm from) doesn't have many members at all - I'm trying to sign people up, but it's hard!
