I am completely Uninspired today...Will this affect my Rating or Earnings

LOL!! Please don't try the "U like fruit" route! *laugh* Posting topics or not posting topics won't affect you. I stayed at 10 a long time when I wasn't posting any topics at all. It was only after I got really into posting topics and not just replies to discussions that my rating dropped. So I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you keep replying to other people's posts and getting marked with plusses that way, or at lest not marked with minuses, I don't think that your star rating will drop. But then, what do I know.. I'm still struggling to make it back to even eight *laugh*

Oh, boy I'm glad I'm not alone in this one. I've been here 45 minutes now and beside answering 2 semi waste of time messages. This is the first thing I've responded to. I like to have a couple discussions started before I start responding. Yes, "U like fruit" is not bad, all I could think of was "Are U tired?" so at least with yours they could say yes or no and add a fruit !! I think maybe we're both in a slump. Maybe we need a break, I don't know. Funny thing is I sat last night and thought of all kinds of things, every time I did a search someone was already discussing it. So I end up responding. Maybe that's the thing to do, just quit making discussions for a day and concentrate on responding...If I can find something amongst the nonsense. Ahhh well, tomorrow is another day, may we both find inspiration somewhere...lol I don't think it affects our ratings and some people say you make more responding than starting discussions. It makes sense actually as your paid for your content, so who knows. I don't really care about the money in a sense as I'm not going to retire from mylot earnings. Though it does get discouraging to see a day with less than usual earnings. Oh well good luck to us both.

No honey, just don't post today. It will not effect your ratings at all. Ratings are by your members on "best response" and old posts being answered. Relax, go with the flow and enjoy your time here.

ohhh nooo not another 'u like fruit' discussion ... there is enough of those to make fruit salad for all .. hahaha!! I don't post a new discussion everyday so I don't think it will cause a problem if you have a day off from dreaming up interesting and enjoyable discussions .. I would have though the 'u like fruit' idea is more likely to bring down your star rating .. well more than not posting a new discussion at all anyway ...

Well if You post less today You 'll earn less probably.. but don't try to make discussion if You aren't inspiried very well. Try to rest for a while and then come again. Sometimes I also feel emptyness, and don't know what to write, or what to respond, than I'm just read discussions from others and learning about everything and that's can make me happy too..

Me too Ally, I cannot find anything to say so I'm going through my friends posts and see if I can add to them.....hence I am here! But I don't know how, my star has gone up one notch! Do you think 'they' are going to pay me for NOT posting. Perhaps 'they' think I post too much rubbish anyway, I don't know. Keep plugging pal!

Perhaps you are too concerned with the star rating. I am earning the most I have earned and lately only been a 9. Please do not worry and do what you can do and if you need a day or two off from this site, then take it. It may make you even more interesting when you return. If you ask me if I like fruit then also ask why. We need longer than single line answers to make decent money (for this site). I got lucky last weekend with a discussion I noticed in a newspaper and brought it here and so many people responded I could not keep up. That gives you a new problem to do deal with. I am grateful for it. It may be the only one I get so many responses on. So take your time and do what fits you within the guidelines of Mylot!! Take care my friend!!

haha, i dont think you need to pressure yourself. it is better not to replie if you are not in the mood and then just come back when you feel better or inspired already. your rating may go down more if others think you are just starting discussions for the sake of it.

LOL -- asking something like "U like fruit" will probably affect your star rating, but not posting anything shouldn't. Of course, posting nothing will not add to your earnings.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have a ten rating and my discussions can't seem to get arrested.

Ally, that was what I asked a few days ago. Many told me to concentrate more on replying and less on posting discussions. I have dropped back drastically on posting discussions and have been replying more to the discussions of others and my earnings have actually increased! My start has stayed the same too. Who knows? We are all goverened by the mysterious myLot algorithm!

we all have days like this, in fact yesterday i was the same even when it came to giving responses i simply had nothing productive to say on anything at all and it wasnt through lack of interesting posts to respond too... there were plenty i just has complete writers block. S i i took a break and when and did something else, came back an hour later and i was good to go
