Are teenage drivers getting worse of am I just getting old? I see these kids on the road and I watch them in amazement. I have been in the Transportation field for over 15 years and have taught many people how to drive commercial vehicles such as tractor trailers, straight trucks, etc. so I am on the road alot. It seems these kids do not pay attention when driving. I think the cell phone is the culpit for their lack of attention when driving. The biggest distraction I had as a teen was my cassette player. I see kids driving and sending text messages at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I see adults doing it as well but not as much.

I must confess I think you are right, I never really thought about it until now, but, I am from England and thus we cant start learning to drive until the age of 17, but I am now 19 and have had my licence for 2 years now and when I passed my test I never touched my phone when I was driving but now its almost as though I see driving as like a 6th sense and I will text whilst driving, though I must confes I know my predictive text order so well I dont even have to look at my phone to send a text but its still not the point I suppose.

Yes they are getting worse between loud music and cell phones. I think everyone should get that thing where you put a pice over the ear and you talk on the phone through that. But in my opinion girls just seem to be worse drivers then males at younger ages between talking on the phone and even text messinging on the phone which Ive heard a lot of women do.
