I think they are both (especially Hamas) puppets manipulated by "foreign" powers , Hamas victory was suspicious to me from the beginning , the other country in that region would either be foolish or very weak to let them win ,EXCEPT if there was some kind of agreement to UNDERMINE Fath stability . That wouldnt be strange to me because "war" "racism" "terrorism " are all ideas that are fed to PEOPLES , I think the POLITICIANS from ALL parties might actually be good friends .

Yes, ironically, Hamas were once supported by Israel of all people as an effort to stop the PLO.
However, there's not too much surprise why Hamas managed to trounce Fatah in the local elections in 2006. To put it crudely, the guys at Fattah managed to run an exceedingly corrupt administration and the local areas that were run by Hamas were honest and competent. Seriously, in Hamas neighbourhoods, the trash got taken out, in Fatah areas, it rotted. But then again, that's a minor inconvenience to people outside Palestinian run areas who expect the Palestinians to vote for the people that other people approve of.
