I've been in both positions and I think it is a lot worse to be the one who has been cheated on. It hurts me more for someone else to have cheated on me than for me to feel guilt from cheating myself.

I've been cheated on...I've never cheated though, don't think I ever plan on it either.. But I hated it. I didn't want to believe it at first, so that made it worse for me in the long run because we were together for so long. I'd have to say being cheated on hurts more than actually cheating.. because you know what you're doing, and what you're doing is wrong, but you're still doing it... Being cheated on...you're being taken advantage of..

Well, I can imagine that both can be equally devistating initially but there is a difference and an answer for me. If you get cheated on, you will be angry. If you cheat, then you will feel guilty. For me, it would be much harder to get rid of the guilty feeling than anger.
