There is no provacy whatsoever nowdays in anything we do and private property is misused. I haven't uploaded any of my personal pictures for exactly this reason. You can't trust anybody and myLot isn't my private home page or album to put up pics. You msut delete them too if you don't feel fine with it. As far as I know myLot has no such option and we can copy and download images from here.

As a computer geek, if your picture is on the web and I want it, I know of several ways of getting it. I'm harmless. It would be childish to use someone's photo without asking permission.

It's a good thing if there is a preventive feature here at myLot that profile pictures cannot be copied & pasted, just like what you had mentioned, but giving the user the option to delete them. However, myLot had also a disclaimer whenever we upload pictures that myLot has the right to publicly display the photo we wanted to upload. It's an implication that we are losing some privacy if we upload personal photos. So, since there is still no security feature regarding this copy/paste... better be safe not to upload personal pics if you wanted to preserve your privacy. Actually, it's the main reason that i haven't uploaded personal pics also. Anyway, you have the option to delete those personal pics you had uploaded. It's really unsafe to upload personal pics on the net especially if it's not your personal website where you can have the full admin control.

I would be really careful about uploading personal photos, especially those of yourself and family members. I have uploaded photos of my cat and scenes (like a snowstorm), but I don't want pics of myself and my family altered and plastered all over the Internet. It's a shame, but people will steal them and use them, and you end up having no recourse if they are stolen.

I havent uploaded anything I am uncomfortable with yet, but just out of curiosity, how do you delete it once you have uploaded it? Just in case.

There is no such thing. MyLot can't prevent other members to save other members photos. If a member see a photo that he likes here, then I save it.
It's simple as that.
I don't think that myLot can do something about it.
Even if myLot prevent this option, there is always the option of 'Print Screen'.

No anyone can steal your pics on here. I really do not understand why mylot doesn't add a simple script to their programming that would prevent it from happening. I know the script I'm talking about can be gotten around, but it would take someone that has programming knowledge. It would not stop it completely but I'm sure it would cut the chances of it happening by at least 90%. The only personal pictures I will upload to any site is ones of my dogs.

I dont see what the problem is even if people put their personal picture up here but personal I never put real pictures or information on the net. So what if someone steals your picture what can you do with that? Anyways thanks for the tip and who knows you might be right because I have been hearing alot about this lately.

Not sure what the problems are if my picture from my drivers license is used anywhere. It is the only picture I have of me. Not sure what they would use it for, a signature is something that would be needed for falsity. Also your social security number would be needed for official stuff and if you are contacted they can quickly determine that you did not open an account of whatever. If I missed something then please educate me. Thanks in advance!!

i guess all personal photo upload sites should have a lock on copy and paste.that way people will have more confidence in uploading their photos.and abut posting it its everyones personal choice and those who want will do it and those who dont wont.i havnt uploaded my pics in mylot, not because of being them misused but due to reluctance.i dont see mylot as a networking website.but i have my pics on myspace, orkut etc.

Uploaded photos, it doesn't matter if your in mylot or any other site. There is not much you can do to protect your pictures. If some one wanted them bad enough, there will always be someone that can figure out a way to get what they want on the net. I'm a computer major in college I know alot about what you can and can't do on the net. but for the poeple that do. I think it is great that they post the pictures, and that if they want poeple to see them that is great. There are security options everywhere you go on the net. but there are a lot of smart computer poeple. but that is not really a worry that you or anyone should really worry about. your photos are usually pritty safe.
