I don't but my husband has placed some in my trunk. There is a blanket, 2 flares, a tire and jack. Then there is this gizzmoe, that can inflat the tire, charge my battery and has a spot light on it. I have only been driving for a year and a half, so you can see why he worried enough to put these in there.

Did he fasten tires around the outside of the vehicle to?:P Sorry couldn't resist after you told me how long you'd been driving.

That's ok I am use to it. The day I got my driver's license, my father in law said there was a news break warning everyone to get off the sidewalks! LOL

Why? Do you live in the desert... or something?
I always carry my toolbox... and on long trips... oil and water for the car.
Of course... if I was going to go in the middle of no-where... I would carry all the things you mention. People in Australia are actually advised to carry some supplies once they drive in the center of Australia.

i never keep anything inmine because i am a member of a breakdown service, i can understand why others do though, the uk isnt a very big country but places like the US are. there are several secluded places and nothing for miles around in the US so i can understand why people would keep supplies in there car but its not so much of a big thing in the uk.

Ahh, I hadn't even thought about you folks over there but yeah that makes sense. Not too likely you'd be stuck somewhere because it snowed too much and you couldn't go anywhere. lol
