I find my self doing and saying things just like my mom does. I didn't want to turn into her, it just happened. I do things the same way she always did. Mostly I say things like "Holy Cow!" and "Shish" (instead of shi_) just like her!

OH God yes, I'm very like my mother. Even my husband says it to me. I often find myself doing things she does or behaving like she does. I'm not as tiday as my mother is though. My home is a disaster zone.

I would say I take a little from both. It's funny, too, because I grew up with my grandparents and father yet there are some characteristics I get from my mother, such as my writing ability. There are some negatives there of course but all in all I take from both.

Hahha, good point. Yes, I did inherit a lot of the traits from my mom, that I didn't want too. It just happened. But, I also inherited a lot of my dad did too.

I catch myself sounding like my mom. LOL And there were things as a kid I hated hearing from my mother. But then, as a mother myself, I have found myself sounding like her. But I am also like my father. Of which, I can say those are my proud times. He was a very patient and living man! I hope that I am like him because I think he is a great example of what I would like to be. Of course, he was not perfect, but I think I have learned from his errors too. :)

Since I didn't really feel that I was really theirs, they were so different that I thought I was, I am often surprised if I hear my Mother's voice come out of me. It is funny. I am not really like they are in very many ways. I do love them though. They were good parents and I recognize that they did their best. We live far apart and I miss them many days. I tell my daughter that someday she will hear my voice coming out of her! That sure will be interesting.

Like they say , the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, all my life I have been trying to be different than my parents , and I just realized that I don't need to be an opposite ,but rather stay away and learn from their mistakes, try not to repeat them . I hated that my mom worked and left me all my life at grandma's , I love my grandparents , but when it was my turn , I didn't work I hated that she spends her day and night in the kitchen , cooking rather than spending time with dad or with us , I turned out similar but not at all , I love cooking for my family and I adore entertaining , but never would I spend a long time preparing a meal , I go for quick easy and healthy .

I think I am basically like a combination of my parents characters. I think my children are a combination of me and their mother
