During August of last year, during the massive heat wave that hit California, my electric bill was $326.44. It was from running the air conditioners all the time. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it.

Yes, my utility bill was really high this month. Its never been this much and I was even lowering heat and everything to save energy. I was really upset that it was twenty dollars over what it usually is. although I know I shouldn't complain because I know people who are paying twice as much as me. But I have a farely new house here. I don't see why my bill is that high either.

i had my water bill go sky rocketing a couple of years ago that i really had to complain... it went 6 times the normal bill i usually had and i was so shock that i knew they made a mistake. the company insisted about me having to pay for it because they told me that the water company had raise their bills and that it was the right one and so i had to pay for it and so i did. but the next month my bill was just the normal bill that i usually had. the company ripped me off.

Yes it's a little bit crazy... Is power price more expensive? Well, I paid for difference from last Year $400 and my monthly bill is now about $50

In our little 800 sq ft apartment last year, our bill jumped from $30 to over $100 in one month! You can have your power company bill you the same price every month based on last year's avg, then at the end of the year get a refund or pay the extra.
