My baby is such a crybaby. I am having a difficult time controlling him. I can't do anything but carry him all day long and this is not an easy task because he now weighs over 20 pounds! He refuses to be placed in his crib and even when he wants to sleep, he wants to be carried! I barely sleep more than 2 hours at night because whenever I put him down in bed, he wakes up and starts crying again. I really don't know what to do anymore. Please help!

I am not sure how to help you. I have been there, my youngest had colic very bad. She was this way until about 9 months old, I had to walk carrying her all night long. The minute I would sit down and hold her she would cry. We changed many formulas and tried everything. I would call the pediatrician. Best of luck, from a mom who has been there.

try to relax. your baby feels what you are feeling and you might be feeling tensed when the baby cries. maybe he just wants the comfort of you that's why he wants to be carried all the time. why not try a ring sling? this will help you carry your baby without straining your arms. my baby cries a lot too when she was younger and i tried carrying her around with my sling i bought from lamaze class. i was surprised to find out that she loved it and slept the whole day and time that she was in it.

How old is your baby? Could he have Colic? Have you tried talking to your pediatrician?
My son is the complete opposite. Thank goodness. He started sleeping through the night at about 4 to 5 months...maybe even earlier... I don't remember. He does take about an hour (or less) nap during the day, well, late in the afternoon.

I've been there and it's very tough. My youngest cried for the first year of her life irregardless of what I did. You should consult with your pediatrician and see if he/she can offer you any suggestions. Til then, try and get some extra rest by laying with him on the couch if he will tolerate it. Although you won't be sleeping at least you can be relaxing a little.
