What would you do?

This guy that I'm VERY interested in, is going to meet my parents soon. The problem is, he just got dreadlocks in his hair. I don't particularly like dreads, but I believe he should be able to do what he wants, so I support him in whatever he decides to do. I really don't think my parents would enjoy seeing a new guy that I'm interested in with his hair looking all nappy. It's just not very presentable, especially for the kind of family I have. Wanted to know, what would you do? Would you say anything to him? I don't want him to think that his hair has an effect on our relationship (that just sounds stupid) and I don't want to ask him to compromise who he is for me. Help?

Your parents should care about how he treats you and if he makes you happy, not about his hair! As long as you're both happy, who cares what his or your hair looks like?
