What's the latest season now?

I used to watch American Idol religiously before. But lately I've slacked already since having my baby and doing household chores. I'm just wondering what the latest season is already and if it's any good. Is Simon still as difficult to deal with as before? Haha.

We are in Season 6 and yes Simon is still the same but I kinda like some of his sarcastic remarks. He and all the rest of the judges make the show funny during the auditions. I just love the show.

The latest season on now is the 6th one..and let me tell you, you aren't missing a thing! It's unbelievable what kind of people come to audition..they can't sing for nuts! I've been watching American Idol regularly too and this season sucks. Simon definitely was a pain before but now I think these contestants deserve every bit of Simon's comments. lol
