For known persons it is an added advantage and gives good respect also. In financial matters it may create some rivalry in the relationship. Straight forwardness is better policy until it should not be expressed frankly. For giving expression it needs tactics, so that harshness goes out and education part stands exemplary for years. This makes people comes for good advises also.

I digress being straight-forward. I don't want to hurt someone's feelings. I sugarcoat. But it depends, if it calls for saying what I need to say on a situation, I will say it.
