Do they collect your name and keep the record? If they say you are positive what happens? Just wondering?

In Blood Banks what happens is that if you give your blood sample for HIV Testing then if you are positive your blood is just discarded , you never know that you are HIV Positive. They will know your name but they will not inform you about it. For other things like if you want to test yourself for HIV then you have a proper pre test and post test counselling where you are informed about HIV,Testings etc and then you get the report which is 100% confidential.

I do donate my blood at India, and on every donation they give me a certificate which will give all the details like BP,Sugar, STD,Blood group. HIV, Content of Himoglobin .... Probably they might do this for HIV positives.

I am talking about the Current Government Policies which are set up by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) , In all the Government Blood Banks they are doing Anonymous testing from Public Health Point of View. Thats the Policy at National Level. Private Hospitals can take blood and give you the certificate however from Public health point of view its not good.
