Have you forgotten about something, while on the phone?

I was just about to start doing my dishes, so I am filling up the sink when the phone rings. I went and answered the phone and it was one of my friends. We are chatting away for quite some time. After a while I can hear this water noise coming from my kitchen. It still didn't click with me. I go into the kitchen and it is flooded. I had forgot the sink was filling up still and now it was overflowing. There was so much water everywhere, I couldn't believe I hadn't heard it before then. Well, as you can imagine, I had to get off the phone quick and instead of just having dishes to wash, I had to clean the floor. At least my floor was really clean afterwards.
Has anyone else done something like this?

really it is very interesting discussion. it is very common in home as well as in office. two three times i prepared the tea myself and immediately forget when i picked up phone of my pretty daughter and chating with her. sometimes when i prepare draft, connected phone and missed the right word to explain.

sometimes we tend to forget things... Naturally it happens. But we must be in our senses and do multiple tasking.

Yes I agree. I think everybody forgets something at some time. Maybe if we didn't try to do so much at once, it wouldn't happen so often. Thanks!

LOL...Actually just a couple of weeks ago my 2 year old was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. I could here the water running but she always runs the water while she is brushing her teeth. A few minutes passed and it was still running so i thought i had better go and check. The bathroom was flooded she plugged the sink and i had no idea. What a pain to clean up some of it even got to the rug!!

Ya this will happen sometimes, however u can't able to say that u would not forget anything while start chatting with the phone because the people who called to u might be u'r well wisher or very close friend.U will be excited to speak with them so that u will forget what ws going around the world. So before taking the phone atleast make comfort of everything that u can able to handle it with no problem even if chat's go for long time also.

Yes, that is very good idea. Sometimes now, I will ask if I can call them back after I finished what I am doing, especially if I am cooking. Thanks!

Oh, that is terrible. I feel very sorry for you. Do you ever have those days where you wish you hadn't got up? I think that must have been one of those days for you. I hope your car wasn't too damaged. Thanks!

It is very easy to lose track of time when your chatting on the phone. I do that quite often. Thanks!

LOL! That is so funny! Something like this happend to me once. I had something sitting on the sink and one of my kids turned on the water and the thing on the sink made the water run all over the floor. It made such a mess. But like you said clean floors after I cleaned it up!

I am glad you can see the funny side to it too. I know at the time, I wasn't too happy at myself but after I had cleaned it up, I was able to see the funny side. Thanks!

I always forgot something when I do something else no matter when I'm on the phone or not. I cooked something and then left it for few minutes of TV, and then I fogot about everything and you know... well.. it started to smells and all and the rest is history... my food turned to black coil...
that's not only it, there's many things happening too because of this weakness of mine XD

I forget things like this all the time. My tub has overflown, my sink the same, supper burns, and the list goes on. And this is on pretty much a daily basis...I just can't seem to remember anything lately, and I'm only 25, so it's definitely not old age..lol.

It is easy to forget while you are on the phone, you seem to lose time when your chatting away. I think maybe I had better try what you are, no talking on the phone until after housework. Thanks!

I think I am the same. Quite often I am meant to give someone something and it can take me weeks to do that because every time I see them, I forget about it. Thanks!
