I went to USPS (Post office) today to drop my package for my boyfriend who's working as a US Merchant Marine. They asked me to fill up a form and I did it. It is for customs and it asked a description of what am I shipping. I put 4 shirts and 2 bennies. I thought it was all for formality purposes only. On my way home, I read all the instructions and it stated that any misleading information may fine or seizure of the item. I forgot to write...card and candies in it. It was an honest mistake! It was my first time to send item to a military employee. I didn't know that I have to be specific and everything. Do you think I'm gonna get in trouble? Would they confiscate the stuffs that I didn't declare? My boyfriend said don't worry about it, it will reach him safe. I hope so! I feel so dumb and a little scared.

Don't worry. My sis in the the US Military Airforce and when I send her things I don't list every item in the package. When she sends me something she doesn't list everything in her package either. Your ok!

yep. it's true. it's not necessary (i guess) to enumerate all since it costs time already.

your boyfriend is right. don't worry about it. it will reach him. i received a package from my boyfriend who is in sweden yesterday (i am from the philippines). he just wrote down clothes. but there are 3 bags in it, a wallet, clothes and other stuffs in it. but still, it reached me as expected. for as long as there's not illegal things inside your package, it will reach your boyfriend safe and sound.
i also sent a package last december to my boyfriend. it contained a lot of things like keychains, towels, earrings (for his mom and bestfriend) and cards. but i only wrote down towel on the box. but it still reached him in good state.
so don't worry much.

I usually send package to my sibling in the Philippines. Of course one balikbayan box contains a lot so I cannot enumerate those stuff. My concern is that the package that I sent is for Federal or government employee. They might be more strict which worries me most. My boyfriend said that they would open tha package anyway, I'm not sure when. Thanks!
