What does this star with number in our mylot usernames stands for?

Seems I read that the rating system is automated and is based on popularity and rating. The more +'s you have along with the more popular your topics are = a higher star. Yep 10 is the best. I don't know how well that system is though, maybe they have some bugs to fix.
