well it may also depend on the ways you have been dealing with him,before saying such a thing,I dont think you have been friendly with him try to ask yourself how many times have your brother ask for assistance from you and have you ever responded.We should try to look at it in both sites He may be to an extend right,He may have reasons for saying that

Did you ask him why he needed that money for.If its was for an important work you should have given him.How old is he.If he is a teenager then you should know what kind of friends he have do they drink,do they smoke do they go to discows and all things.

Sounds like he is throwing a temper tantrum to me, acting like a five year old. That is a very mean and selfish thing to say to anyone. Don't give him the satisfaction of winning. If you didn't loan him the money, I'm assuming you have a good reason. Don't back down.

He is just trying to manipulate you just like teens scream they hate their parents when they don't get their way. Don't give into manipulation. I use to give into it all the time but it doesn't help anybody. He will know tomorrow you still love him or when he needs something else. The best way I have found to handle it when my daughter says that to me is Well, I do love you but I am sorry you feel that way right now and start doing something else. It shows them you accept their feelings, but lets them know it isn't going to work. My daughter is usually over it before the day is up.
