Children learning music

What is the right age for a child to take piano? Not that I think my child is a prodigy, but you never knoe.

though they say earlier is better it takes a child some time to grasp the spirit in music. i'd say expose the child to the instrument so that he grows fond of it at 4-6 years if he starts playing it like in a piano playing with keys or in a guitar plucking the strings encourage his interest by getting him a book and a teacher!!!!

Probably before the 1st grade. Music lessons help children a great deal academically. It teaches them focus and concentration, and studies have shown that kids who take music lessons do better in mathematics. Even if your child ins't a prodigy, any kid can benefit from music appreciation.

I guess at the age of 4-5 children can already be exposed to such training. The younger the child starts on music training the better.

I guess a child can start learning music at the age of 5 yrs. and it depends on their interest. they feel its part of the school
