is car insurance very essential??

Yes, car insurance is important and should be a must. But I don't know here in the Philippines if car insurance is required. I don't know because I don't have a car.

Of course it is essential. So that if you had an accident and it is a total wreck or just a small damage? Nothing to worry for the replacement or repair. For your peace of mind whenever you're on the road. :-)

It is very important, not to mention it is the law. If you were to get into an accident could you afford to pay for the damages that were done? You should definitely always have insurance and if you can't afford it, then you shouldn't be driving.

In Canada, you can't buy a car without having insurance first. It's against the law to drive a car without it. So, I would say that in Canada, it's essential to have insurance on your car. Think about it, the chances of you getting into an accident ( your fault or someone elses') is pretty big. If you didn't have insurance.. do you have the money to replace your car or someone elses' ? I know I don't.. but I have insurance, and they take care of that for me.
