Well it's not offical yet but i did sign the papers for the job. tax papers direct desposit form, and other paper work. But they haven't call you yet. I can't schedule anything, or except any obligations untill I hear from them. so what should I do? should I call them to see what the hold up is? Or should I just wait. I will be working for shcool system. Ok. they took a back-ground check. T.B test. so now I am just waiting I already got the results for TB test. so now I am just waiting for them to schedule me. I am inpatient. I wish someone would call.

If it was me, I would call them and tell them you need the job and you need to know something soon. Sometimes the procedures they go through to make sure you are qualified for the job takes way to long. I have found that calling them consistently lets them know you are really interested in the job. They may hire you much sooner if you keep calling them to see what is going on.

Congrats Marcie, I read the other responses, you said they said 2 weeks. I would be patient for a little while. At least until the beginning of next week, if they don't call you by then go ahead and give them a call. Try to be patient, if it is the right job for you, you will get it.

Wow! Good luck! I hope you get this job. I'm sure you'll make way way more working on this job than being here in mylot. I'd say, wait for a couple of days more, and if you are soo impatient already, try to call them. I hope you got the job though! Good luck!

It's has already been a week. I did call they said I will hear something I quess it takes time to do background check. Never been in trouble except D.U.I. but I won't be driving so they shouldn't affect me.

I would schedule whatever needed to be scheduled, and accept obligations. I would not put my life on hold for a job.
I would call them, it could be that they are waiting for the person you are replacing to leave. I still would go on with my life and do what needs to be done. When they do call, just let them know that you have scheduled something or are obligated to do something on a certain date and let them know when you would be available.
If you have already taken all the test, and filled out the paperwork, then they have decided to hire you. They would not go through all the expense to do this if they did not want you. So, I suggest you call them to see what's up.
