I Broke my ankle on holiday three months ago who else has managed to do this?

I broke my ankle just four days into a two week holiday in Turkey, I spent five days in hospital and then couldn't wait to get home. I broke three bones and dislocated my ankle, this was three months ago and I never dreamed this could disrupt your life so much, I care for my husband who has cancer but this turned completely due to my accident, he has cared for me like a mother hen and although he gets worn out at times he seems to have forgotten about his own problems and seems so much better. It as if he has a new purpose in life and I am now wondering what will happen when I am walking properly again. One thing I want to ask if anyone has broken a limb on holiday did you make a claim and was it successful if you did ?
