Hi! Before I start, I would like to say that too much of anything is bad. Now back to your question. First, I don't think anyone can sleep too long (continuously I mean, as for a whole day) unless that person has a sleeping sickness or is in a state of coma. We could perhaps sleep, wake up, then decide to sleep again, and so on.. Now which one do you mean? Well, generally, sleeping slows down the body metabolism and everything seems to be at a standstill. The muscles will become flaccid because of inactivity and the body responses slow down.

Is suppose I do wake up, then decide to back to sleep again. But I think I could do this continually for days! Even if Ive slept for 12 hours, I just wake up still tired. But Im tired when I wake up after the right amount of sleep. Im not aneamic.

I didn't know it was bad for your health. I have heard people say that before but I didn't know if it was true or not.
Personally, Im paraniod about getting the right amount of sleep. Seven - nine hours seems right for me. If I sleep to much I sometimes wake up with a sore head and if I sleep to little I get stressed and tired.

i read from a study that too much sleep is actually just as bad as having little sleep. the effects of too much sleep are:
1. Difficulty falling asleep
2. Wakening during the night
3. Waking up too early
4. Not feeling refreshed after waking up
5. Daytime sleepiness
There is actually this so called disease known as Hypersomnia. it is defined as excessive daytime sleepiness and/or nighttime sleep. Humans sleep for an average of eight hours a night. Those with hypersomnia may find themselves sleeping for over ten hours at a time. Theres thought to be many causes for this illness but the principal cause is described as abnormalities that occur during sleep or abnormalities of specific sleep functions.
