When I feed my 5 cats they all eat normally - apart from Sasha. Instead of eating out of his bowl like the others, he will pick pieces of food up with his paws and eat off them!! It does look cute! Does anyone else have a cat that does this or any other unusual habits?

what a beautiful cat you have there. i have 7 cats all with unusual habits and traits. My Anja sort of flip her food and catch it before it drops to the floor.. pretty cool eh..she also sleep all day.. My other cat, Mufasa, would dip his paws into the drinking bowl and start licking from there.. it looks like he's washing his paw.. the rest of sort of looks on at him and probably wondering.. "are we suppose to drink that now" lol..

Awww - your cats sound cute too! And thanks for the compliment to my Sasha - he is the oldest of my 5 cats and definately the "King Cat" in my house! Thanks for your answer.

I have two cats. One is a typical cat in everything and anything. But the other, she is such a sweetheart. She grabes my hand with her paw, and closes it like a hand. Pulls my hand to her heart, and then rests down on it to sleep. She also loves to put her paw into my mouth, to wake me up to feed her. She will not drink from a bowl, only if the water is running from the faucet. When our well broke, and water would not come up, she still refused to drink out of a bowl. She also sticks her mouth into mine to pull out what I am eating if she likes it. I cannot train her not too, as we got her older from a rescue. And, she is just so sweet and cute, I spoil her rotten.

Wow, your cat must be gifted or very intelligent I assume. Why don't you make a video of the cat eating his food with his paws. You can submit in youtube and Im pretty sure many people will watch it.

Well I guess I could, but I think he could run away from the camera! LOL! He has been a calendar cat before now though, as he is exceptionally beautiful! Or am I biased!?

I have a cat that likes to play with his food. He'll take one piece of hard food out of his dish and chase it around the kitchen floor. Luckily, when he is finished playing with it, he eats it.
I have 4 cats and I really enjoy their company.

my cat does this with her water. He scoops it out of my cup. Makes me mad cause then my nighttime water has hair in it.

Ive seen my cat do that too! Normally, she just eats but sometimes when a chunkier bit is stuck to the bowl, she puts her paw in and picks it up then eats it. Its cute to watch, she thinks shes people :P

I have never heard of that. How sweet. You should tape it and send it to America's Funniest Videos. That is really unique I'm sure. I actually was going to start a discussion about my cat today because I have some questions. So watch out for it Rosie and give me some input. Thanks.

I did read somewhere that some cats don't like to eat out of a deep bowl because their whiskers touch the side. One of my cats was doing this with her paw, but when I put the food in a low sided dish, she ate normally. Just a thought :)
