Once you get Acid Reflux, why do we tend to believe it stays with us for the rest of our lives?
Has anyone experienced this and actually cured themselves of it...I'm not talking treatment with antacids, I mean have you overcome and eliminated the condition?
If so, Please tell me how...

Great for you! Thanks for responding too! I just found out I have it when I visited my Doctor (Gastroenterologist). He gave me a prescription & I'm under the impression it's going to be forever..?
Please tell me how you happened to get past it...Are you cured or are you avoiding these foods only?

Hi! I have acid reflux and my doctor gave me proton Pump inhibitor. The medicine worked but I really hate taking medicine so I tried other ways to fight of the acid in my tummy. Here are some tips that a friend shared to me : a healthy diet is very impotant. Avoid triggers such as coffee, chocolates, fatty foods, carbonate beverages, tomato sauce based food and those that are preapred with vinegar. Keep your diet as alkaline as possible.

I have Acid reflux..I had to have surgery to repair damage to my esophagus..Dr. said take a Pill every Day it Won't Happen again... I got tired of talking Pills because Side effects and all that...So I changed My Diet had No need to Take the Pills then with Out warning the esophagus was damaged again.. I Found this out because food got stuck(I had no burning feel not signs at all)..So My Advice is Take the Pills as the Dr says to..
