I need some creative ideas for our daughters 1st birthday. I created a guest list and if we invite all of our family it will be 105 people mostly adults all cramped into our little townhouse. Her b-day is November 11 and I'm not sure about an outside party as the weather here in Missouri is so unpredictable. Looking for any ideas on places, themes, food, games, prizes, anything at all.

105 people? I think that would be a bit over whelming for your daughter. The only thing I can think of for that many people is to rent a hall. Choose a theme based on whatever cartoons or TV shows she likes. My son had an Elmo party when he was 1. Keep in mind that she may not want to sit still to open all the presents and take all of the pictures. My nephew - who is now 2 - had 30 people at his 1yr party and after about an hour of people, cake and attempting to open presents, it was too much for him.

I know 105 is a lot of people but we both come from very large families. We don't watch any tv so she really doesn't have any favs...Thank you so much for your ideas though!!

What you can do is go to Party City and see what they have. I am sure they have some 1st birthday party supplies w/o cartoon characters. You can do everything up in pink or purple.

You have to remember at this age the party isn't really of interest to her. My son slept through some of his 1st bday. Just invite those of most importance to you ( and those you feel will still be around and close to your daughter when she is older) as for the rest of them let them know that you wish you could invite everyone but you can't afford it or you think it would be better served as a smaller party. If you must absoulutly must invite everyone then I suggest having it in your backyard and renting tables, chairs and a tent. Food : Nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, and fried chicken. Have trays with cold cuts set out. Themes : Disney princess is always good for little girls. Games : Have everyone enter a raffle when they come in and just draw for prizes. You can have pin the tail on the donkey and hit the pinata. Pass out toys and anything you can find at Family Dollar for prizes. It doesn't have to be a big deal because your daughter will have no memory of this ever. You also might want to video tape a few family members telling her Happy Bday. Especially those that won't be around in the future (grandparents)
