I am very interested in taking a self-defense class and was wondering if anyone has recommendations or feedback. Being a woman, I think it would be a great to learn and sure couldn't hurt. I would like one that is physically interactive. Anyone take a class like this?

I do not take a woman's self defense class, because I am a guy, lol ^.^ But, I would recommend any martial arts class in your area to take, first of all, because it is very physical and will get you in better shape, and second because the techniques and confidence you learn are just as good self-defense as actually defending yourself physically. Making yourself less of a victim is the best way to defend yourself, and that is where the confidence part comes in, which you will gain from a martial arts class with a good teacher, make sure you do some research on the martial art you wish to study, though, as there are a lot of people out there claiming to teach you a perfect style, but have no real talent themselves and are scammers. Just be careful and good luck ^.^
