Has anyone made any REAL money using EPINIONS?

You can make fairly decent money there if you do a lot of reviewing in the most popular categories. Some people have been there for years. I'm not much of a consumer, so I tried doing book reviews. I got good ratings, but they really aren't worth much as far as income is concerned.

I am a member of Epinions, but I really don't know how to earn money from there. I written 5 reviews and have gotten "Somewhat helpful". And maybe I am just not suitable for that site.haha

OK, I am a member there and have been for a long time. There is money to be made but it will be slow at first. There are different types of reviews; regular, express and survey reviews. You won't make any money on the last two but if you write a review of more than 300 words then it counts as a regular review. The most popular and profitable sections are automotive, tools, housewares, electronics, video game system, new release movies and high ticket items. My best advice is to go to the site and see some of the reviews that are rated VH or Very Helpful to see what people are writing about, their style and how long they are. There is also a message board center where you can go for help. I am not going to say that you are going to be able to quit your day jobs but it is a place to sound off about pretty much anything you've purchased, owned or used including online shopping, toys, clothing, cars, vitamins ... it's a huge database of things but if you see something that isn't listed you can contact one of the Category Leads and they will add it for you.
