Double earnings for the first reply to a discussion?

It seems to me that one myLot user said in a discussion that you get double points for being the first person to respond to a discussion? Is this true? I know some of you have spread sheets devoted to your myLot earnings ... so does anyone know the truth?
If it is true why are there so many questions without any replies?

Oh, I haven't heard that, but I have heard that you can get respond to a discussion twice and get credit for it, but I found that they take those away the next day!
I will let you know if I can tell if I get double points for being the first one, if someone hasn't beaten me to it :-)

LOL, this is really funny because I seem to have to pull my children out of the fridge all the time! They're always trying to drag the pickles out and since we all love pickles so much we buy the "institutional" size and this gets very dangerous with 3 toddlers!

I don't think that is true at all!
I do have my spreadsheet and I have not seen any difference.
There have been days that I was quick to respond to friends discussions because I have the notify on. And there have been days that I was always on the 5th or 6th page...those are the days I am trying to catch up on emails. ha ha
But I have seen no difference in pay amount.
However....when you create a discussion, you are not given credit for that discussion until someone replies to it.
So you could post 20 different discussions in one day...but you will not increase to receive all the credit until each one has at least one response.
To get paid more for a response...that would be the "best response" award. :)

I don't think so at all. MyLot just encourages discussions back and forth, and it goes ahead of all the other ones to be seen more.

I don't know...I had never heard of such a thing before you said that.
I wouldn't think it would be true though...it just wouldn't make much sense. I am curious though what others say on this. But I really doubt anyone will really know.

I have been trying to respond first to discussions for the past few days and I must say that even if I do get there first it is to hard to find one that is even worth responding to. most of the discussions, not all, that have not been responded to are pointless or not even discussion topics but rather comments made. So if you figure this out be sure to let me know b/c what ever I make you make some too.

I read that in a discussion also. I think it was just a guess on that persons part. There is no indication in the guidelines that it's true...however...
if anyone would like to go to my profile and respond to my discussions with no responses..I would love it.
Who knows what suprises you will find. And while your in my profile, feel free to visit my website.

I have been here at mylot for a little while now and I have not heard of this. I have read many other tips but never have I seen this one. I think that if this were true there would not be any discussions with no replies.

All that I've found about the earnings is that if you answer with more then one or two sentences, answer honestly and don't abuse the guidelines and you'll do just fine! I don't use any other money making sites.

I really dont know. I cant figure out how I am getting paid. There doesnt seem to be any reasoning to it. I can not predict on any given day, what I will make. I check my earnings each day. I have read many discussions saying that they cant figure out how they are getting paid either.

The only possible way I can think of for someone to accurately track whether or not they get paid double for posting first on a discussion would be for them to post ONLY as the first poster on new discussions for one entire day. On the second day, that same person must post only to discussions where they are NOT the first poster, ensuring that all other variables are the same.
If you can do that, kudos to you. I don't have the patience.

I'm sure you do... though you'll need to have a lot longer reply to get a good rating in these parts!
