Have you sold crafts at Etsy?

Does anyone sell at Etsy.com? They have a lot of nice things, but their search function isn't very specific, so I was wondering if anyone ever actually sold anything there.

Peavey,
I haven't sold via etsy, but a great place to go for more info is: www.craftster.org
They have an entire board dedicated to
Etsy - enter the site, scroll down to "Miscellaneous Topics", then to "Crafty Business Ventures."
Based on what I've read, supplies often (at least in the past - I haven't kept up recently) did better than finished products - for example, custom-dyed yarns. Etsy is a double-edged sword, I think - as far as I know, many of the people visting are still crafters. This means they know the value of the work in an item and are more willing to pay it (and support fellow crafters and small businesses) - but they are also more willing to say to themselves, "Cool! I can make that!"
I've spent a little time just browsing through shops, looking at the number of items sold vs. the number of items listed. If you're seriously considering selling through them, it's probably a worthwhile use of some time.
I do agree with the poster above, though - based on what I've seen, etsy beats ebay hands down for handcrafted goods. (Though an Ebay store might be different...) Folks browing the auctions on Ebay are usually looking for a "deal" and therefore are unlikely to pay anywhere near the value of the product.
Hope this helps,
~Sara

I have been on etsy since October and I have like 85 items in my shop. It just takes a couple of minutes per item and it so much easier than ebay. You should just try it, open up an account for free and it is only .20 per item, you could do a practice item just to see how simple it is. I love it ! Let me know what you think.
