Small pocket in blue jean's

its a coin pouch for putting change in, quarters, dimes, etc...

I've always heard it's a watch pocket. I use a pocket watch, as opposed to a wrist watch. I put the watch chain (or watch fob as it's called) on the watch and insert the watch into the little pocket, the other end of the chain attaches to your belt. Most people don't carry pocket watches anymore, but those of us who do appreciate the little pocket. I carry a pocket watch because I'm allergic to metal and can't wear one on my wrist.

I've read about this before. It was originaly for pocket watches. Now most people use them for coins or just leave like I do.
