We have a cat and her name is Ampon. I like her a lot because she helps us in many ways. When we adopted her she's very young and dirty. My sister saw our cat standing in front of our window and i think she's searching for a person who will help and care for her. Then my mother helps our cat and gave her a food. After a months we saw her always in our house and she did'nt leave us until she became part of our family. Until now we play with her and she always cathes rats and snakes in our home. We always play with her coz she's so clean and beautiful now.

Hi there...I also spend a lot of time playing with my two house cats. However, I suppose it's more training, but they think is play time. As a professional animal trainer they look forward to training and love to demonstrate how well they learn their lessons such as jumping through a hoop, over hurdles, rolling over, playing fetch/retrieve, waving hello, giving a high-five, taking apart a 3-D pyramid layered puzzle and so many other fun things. They love the emotional stimulation that training gives them and seems to be very focused.

Here's a list of some of the things my cats enjoy demonstrating how super smart cats are to everyone when we educate the public: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/630681.aspx

I play with Columbus about twice or three times daily by dangling a string toy in front of him and watching him jumping at it. For a ten-year-old cat, he's pretty lively. If I didn't play with him, he'd just be sitting or sleeping all day, which is not a good thing, even for a cat his age.
My Waffles tends to play by herself, pushing and chasing toy balls around the house. She's lost a few balls already. I've looked for them, but don't know where they are.

I always play with my cat. I keep a piece of string near the phone, so when I'm on the phone I can play with him. I have the phone in one hand, and my string in the other. This keeps him occupied so he doesn't step on the off button and disconnect my fall. ;-)

We have a rather independent cat and don't play with him much (there are also no kids in the house). He likes to ocassionally sit on my mom's lap, but otherwise he's usually curled up asleep in some empty room or eating. We didn't get him as a kitten so I don't know whether he lacked attention (we found him as a stray adult).
