I wish there were voice chat facility in mylot to talk to our friend!

I could see how for some they would tend to like chat. Me I am not one for it. I like sending messages at my leasure, so I can take my time and think my self out before I type. I reckon you can say, I am too slow of witt when it comes to chat, LOL.

Why don't you talk to them through MSN or Yahoo then? I'd rather there wasn't voice chat in MyLot. I like it the way it is. I never know what to say to people on the phone and I'm exactly the same in voice chat, and in real life.

You could always go through Yahoo Messenger. It is free to call PC to PC. I don't have a microphone...so, I wouldn't be interested in the feature. But because I have Yahoo messenger, I know that it is free through them.

No voice chat is necessary. We have enough glitches to deal with. That would one be another thing with guidelines and then problems and limits etc. You have the option of sharing your emails in yahoo or wherever and there you can chat. Can have that IM window going while you responding to things here. No need for one here! Thanks for letting me vote.

Hmm .. it sounds like a good idea .. but with all the time zones would we be awake at the right time to speak with people .. and I can chat 'til the cows come home so I'd never be able to get off the Internet hahahah But it would be nice to hear peoples voices and it's so hard to express emotion on a web site where there are no smileys to soften the words and no italics to stress words ..

that would be great, also i wish they would make it so we know when our friend come on so we could say hi to them and when they leave we could say bye, almost like an instan messager inside the messages, would that be cool? i think so.

Maybe we could all go on Skype and have a conversation. I wonder how many would actually show up to talk?

I have so many voice chat programs now I don't think I would want one here. You can use msn messenger or both parties can download skype. Skpe is free and has phone quality chat. You can talk to anyone in the world on it free. If they put voice chat in here we would never make money!

While that would be a fun service, I think it would not be one that would really fit in with the way the myLot community is structured. I'm a big fan of "do one thing, and do it right." I think voice chat would just take away time and resources from the things myLot is already trying to accomplish. There are plenty of other sites out there offering voice chat if that's what you're in to!

That sounds like a great idea, but I would never get any household chores done then. As it is, I spend quite a lot of time on my pc, so if I had voice facility, I would be stuck to the chair in front of it. We would also be so busy chatting, that we wouldn't be posting or responding to discussions. I suppose it has it's pros and cons.

Yes, but how much posting would we get done!!! I would be too busy chatting I think. What a treat that would be though!

Well that's a nice idea - but I guess it would be far too difficult and expensive for the people who run this site to set up though.
