Is pepsi bad for you?

I know that all sodas can be bad for you if you drink to much of them, but i heard that if you put a nail in Pepsi, and leave it for a day or so, it will completely dissolve! Just thinking about this in my stomach doesn't sound so good.. But on the other hand, our stomachs have different... things to protect it, and i suppose if 1000's drink it daily, it can't be all bad.. Just a though..

stomachs generate more acidic peptic juices than pepsi regularly... so its acidity is of no concern

Back in my day it was supposedly coke that could disolve a nail. This must be one of those urban ledgends1?! If I am wrong I'd like to know. The amount of sugar is soda is astronomical. That would be my biggest worry. Moderation is key!!!
