Yes, I sometimes do that. Even it it's alreay a month old but if it catches my attention or interest then I definitely respond to them. I don't always respond for new posts and also for the top discussions. I try to give attention to others also. Sometimes I go for discussions with zero response and be the first one to respond. Surprisingly, the person who posted the discussion gets back to me immediately.

Yes sometimes I respond to old discussions, but i prefer to find some new discussion first before i go to the old one.

I sometimes respond to old discussions. Often there is nothing worth responding to in the new discussion list, so I put a tag word about a topic that interests me into the search facility on the top left and search MyLot. Sometimes when you respond to an old discussion, mylot then puts the discussion on the front page and then a whole lot of others respond. I also try to respond to my friends discussions, and occasionally if I've responded to all their newer discussions, I will respond to an old one.
