Am not sure why people are so in a rush. I waited a week when I was new and even then I would get responses. We do get some earnings for the responses we make. If I know a best response is picked I ususally do not answer that discussion. Seems like the discussion would be over then. Agreeed 4 or 5 days would be more fair. Just seems like once the best response was picked it would become a done deal. Would like to see them relegated to a finished category. Like the no responses are! Removed from our page too. My work would be done if it is a finished discussion. Thanks for bringing this up, I was in the minority and it is good that someone sees it similarly to me.

I have been waiting a bit longer to choose the best response. Earlier on I was ready to pick too quick and often after choosing another came up. It would be nice if MyLot would have 2nd and 3rd best responses as well.

I decided when I first signed up that I would wait about a week before finding the best response .. then I realised I was still geting the odd post through the second week .. so now I wait at least two weeks before marking a best response .. I do go through all the replies and give a positive rating where someone has made a good post .. and for those that can only be bothered to say one word or 'yeah man' they get a minus .. I'm not being mean .. just sticking to the rules ..
I have a good few discussions to mark up with best response at the moment and I hope to get most of that done tomorrow

I think it's a case of one response just grabs them. I have yet to start a topic but I probably either won't choose a best response or will wait a while
