Most boring episode ever

I certainly hope that this isn't going to be the new trend. Picking apart why House is the way he is was interesting at first, but I didn't think it was going to be a 2 season endeavor. Tonight's episode was just back in forth in a room, waiting for something to happen and just being disappointed. Anymore, it seems like every show is an encounter with The Ghost of Christmas Past, showing House the error of his ways. There wasn't really even a medical case on the show. Anyone else getting a little sick of the endless journey through House's head?

I guess I have to be different. I didn't find tonights episode boring at all. It was a nice change of pace to see House actually dealing with a person as much as he did tonight. I think the writers probably had a reason for doing it. Maybe they have something big up their sleeve.

I agree with you. Cuddy forcing House to deal with a patient emotionally rather than physically was the whole point. We got to see House reveal some of his past, which gives some insight into why he's the way he is. We also learned some of his beliefs on God and abortion. I thought it was a great episode. A talkie one for sure, but that was the point.

Well, I'm not sick of it. My main reason for watching the show is the man, House. I think he is the most fascinating character on tv, and I love getting more information, more layers, more understanding of him. I also don't think this episode explained why he's the way he is. A person's character is made up of a series of events, of beliefs, of just being who you are. No one thing, no one experience, explains it all. But, it's another piece of the puzzle. House is a puzzle I love to get different pieces of.

Aw, I forgot. I didn't see House learn the error of his ways. I saw him making a connection.

Ohhh all of those episodes with that cop were so irritating to me! It was bound to happen one way or another, with his addiction and all but it was drawn out way to far IMHO. I love House and I hope the writing gets better soon. His attitude is still great but the storyline needs some work.

I don't think there CAN be a "boring" episode of House! Though I must admit, I was sort of hoping there'd be more of a medical case in this one and a little less...mushy stuff. I mean, if there was a cockroach in that guys' ear, I wanna SEE the cockroach..and how they go about getting it out! It was nice to see a slightly softer side of House though and yet more information on why he is the way he is. It doesn't hurt that I simply adore House anyway. Also, as much as Tritter makes me want to punch him in the face, I was also sort of hoping we'd see something in last nights episode about what he's been up to. Ah well..maybe next time!

I dont think house is the problem. it's the rest of the cast. The scriptwriter should really give an ounce of additional IQ to the rest of the doctors as they seem so stupid compared to house.

I agree. Plus they just aren't multi-dimensional characters and that bugs me. Also, IMHO the guy who plays Wilson is a terrible actor. I like the idea of that character but I can't get past the bad acting.

I really enjoyed the House episode on Tuesday night. I liked how he is "paying" for his actions. I think he is finally getting what he deserves. That episode was a nice change from the usually someone gets sick, they try a ton of things, then they get better. I love House and don't think I will stop watching until it goes off of the air.

HELLO!!!! its called character growth! he can't just be a jerk the whole time, he needs to start changing since he almost got put in jail and his medical license taken away, you figure you're going to need a show like this every once is a while to break the norm. like the show where House was doing a lecture and was taken back into 3 cases, one of which was his own case, we need stuff like that to see into the character and of course how they eventually grow into the person they are. the whole point is to see how house can change and if its possible for him to change as well.

No, I'm not sick of it - I love it! I thought last night's episode was great. It was nice to see him squirm like that. It's interesting to find out what goes on his his bizarre brain.

As much as I liked last nights episode, I think I prefer the normal sort, where he actually physically heals people. It was actually a little refreshing to have a slight change of pace, and see the emotional House, not just the intellectual one..

I love watching House. I thought last nights episode was great. How it was made in to a game to make it interesting for House to deal with clinic patience's. To try and teach him some humanitary was a great idea in my opinion. I love watching House and his off beat attitude to things. I also like how they protray him as being super smart. But last nights episode when a patient was trying to get in his head after being raped was an extra good episode in my opinion.

I thought last night's episode was very different from the usual case solving episodes, but I didn't like it as much as the other episodes where he's working on a case. I think the writers just dropped the ball on this one a little bit, I'll definately keep watching because I look forward to that show and love the character.

i happen to like House, but i didnt watch last nights episode. But at the same time i understand what you are saying, it does get kinda irritating with the same thing happing ALL the time. At times it gets boring, its also annoying that the fact that he is ALWAYS right, he is never wrong. Can he just once be wrong? Or if he was wrong do you think anyone would watch the show?

I still love House, but the whole cop story irritated me so much. It took all the fun out of it for me as it just dragged on for too long.
