hi eolivan, yes I have travelled long distance by bus but, to b frank, i didnt like it atall, though the bus was great a volvo bus, I love travelling by a train more than a plane though plane saves a lot of ur time but i really feel uncomfortable because of the jerks it gives while landing ,,I feel nauseated...travelling by train is much more comfortable....

yes we have a train, but they don't make daily trips to manila anymore. and they haven't rehabilitated it yet. and i think they just use it for low income people since they just use it for cargoes, the extra people are for extra income. they're coaches are no longer for repaired. i live just a block away from the railways station.

yes, i travel long distance by bus like 24 hrs. I love to travel and i am really fond of seeing everything along the way. The nature, people, places etc. I enjoy every minute of it. I can say just enjoy the ride. Don't think of the hours spend in sitting in the bus, doing that wont help you and just make you feel bored. Take time to see the unsual things along the way.

is it 24 hours straight? don't you get bored? travel here from our province to the capital takes 7 - 8 hours and it's from 9pm to 5am so there is nothing to see. and sometimes its really hard to sleep well on the bus.

Travelling long distances by bus can be either very comfortable or vice versa. It all depends on the type of buses you get on. I have seen really horrible buses not properly maintained. Then, there are those that makes you feel you are flying business class because of their comfort. I love those buses. You may have to pay slightly more but think of the comfort you are receiving. They even serve you refreshment and or meals on board.

When I travel long distance in a bus I like it when they have a t.v. or low music playing, most of our buses have this and they are very comfortable they have drinking water there and the toilet so I do not need anything else.

buses here have t.v. which plays one movie right after leaving and after the movie, they play low music to let passengers sleep. and the toilet. but sometimes its really hard to sleep coz sometimes you keep moving because you can't lie on the position for a long time.

I had a 3 long trips that lasted for 13 to 16 hours. One is from Davao to Cagayan de Oro, the other is Capalonga in Bicol and the other one is the way to Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte. What I can suggest is bring headrest with you. It is very comfortable when sleeping. Also wear something comfortable. Hope it will help. Von voyage :-)

My longest bus ride was only about three or four hours, but I wouldn't mind doing it again. I did it for the sake of seeing Hanson in concert.

I took one long bus ride in my life, with many stops and waits. It was a little over 24 hours and I now know that a small travel pillow (you can buy them for under 10.00 at walmart/kmart) is a must, as well as snacks and a really good book.

the longest travel time i did on a bus would be 9 hours from cavite city to baguio.and boy oh boy did my butt hurt.LOL..there were only 2 bus stop overs and it was hard for me haha..but good thing we left before 3 am so i just slept..But abroad i tried those coach bus that travel from KL-Singapore or SIN-KL..it took 5hours but was okay because they had a toilet inside that you could use plus their seats were so comfortable and far apart from each other that you could catch some sleep.tried the night time travel and the afternoon travel.both are okay for me.
